This is my original post. I am going to be posting these in order from oldest to most recent (instead of recent to oldest).
Okay, I have hit up every single scholarship I can find, and I still can't come up with the money that I need. So I am asking if there is anyone out there with a few extra bucks hanging around. It would be amazing if you could help me out. Let me give you a little background information on myself.
~I graduated from a private Christian school in Manchester, NH as the Salutatorian with a 4.0.
~I attended Gordon College in Wenham, MA my freshman year of college but could not return due to finances.
~I now attend Palm Beach Atlantic University and plan on continuing here until graduation.
~I am studying Pre-Med. I really want to be a anesthesiologist (It is my passion!).
~I have wanted to be a doctor since I can remember.
~I worked 50 hours a week in the summer as a security guard, mainly in Nashua, NH.
~I am in desperate need of college money!
~I absolutely love soccer: I have won several awards for soccer from Total Release, Coaches award, All-State, All-Conference, and Varsity Captain for 2 years.
~I have won several other awards as well: Drama Award, Leadership Award, Student Council Representative, Student Council Treasurer, Most Determined (basketball), Most Improved (baseball) and others.
~I was a volunteer soccer coach for the Merrimack Youth Association in 2008.
~Last year I volunteered for "College Bound", a tutoring/mentoring program for inner city "as risk" children and loved it.
Please, if anyone could help- whether it is 1 dollar or 10,000 dollars, it would be greatly appreciated! And yes, I know this is a stretch, but I am trying to get money for school in every way shape and form and use every resource. Thank you!

What's going on
9/03/2009
Well, things are going great at PBA! Classes started this past Monday, August 31st and I am loving them (especially those in my Pre-Med major)! My Chemistry teacher is great as well as my Biology professor; they both make the classes interesting instead of putting us to sleep with boring facts. I am also taking Public Speaking and my professor is hilarious! We have been working on speeches about our classmates; nothing fancy- just 2 minute speeches for now before we work our way up to the 20-30 minute speeches. But he is certainly interesting. I am also taking a Bible class and a Trigonometry course. I've had really lively, interesting classes and I feel like I'm learning a lot! I'm still working really hard on my studies and keeping up to date on the latest in anesthesiology and medicine.
~Have a blessed day.

The article about my blog ran today in the Nashua Telegraph! I would like to thank them for helping me out. I am sure there are other college students out there who can relate to the struggles of financing college. I saw some of the comments that people left and I would like to answer a few of the questions. Right now I am maintaining a 4.0 at Palm Beach Atlantic University. My classes are tough and I am spending a lot of time studying. I am also working for medical company as a sales representative. It is hard to maintain my job, studies and classes and it definitely takes a lot of hard work.
Other comments I noticed said that they don't know why I am not at UNH. Well, very simply, when I received my financial aid package from Gordon and realized I was unable to return, it was too late to get in to UNH. Even if I did get in to UNH, it would be a little more expensive in-state than PBAU. PBAU actually made it more affordable for me to come here through scholarships and grants! I received about $20,000 in aid here. PBAU also has a great science program and has other programs on campus that will really help me with my medical school application. UNH is such a large school with so many students it is hard to get to know your professors, actively participate and get the most out of classes, and build a really strong medical school resume.
People asked me, "Why Florida?" Honestly, I have gone to the beach once since I have been down here. I have been too busy to go out or live the "Florida life-style". So, the fact that I am in Florida does not play any role at all.
Also, to address the questions about a job: I have a job. When the article was written, I did not yet have one, as I had only been down here for a week. Florida's slowest season is the summer and early fall months. I have been applying for jobs down here even a month before I arrived. The job search has been a very difficult road but I DO have a job and I am working as many hours as possible to make my monthly tuition payment.
I hope that this clears up some of the questions from the article!
~Thank you to everyone!

They really did a great job at putting together the video and article. Thank you so much WMUR and WPBF. Your news stations have really made a difference. Thank you Jim Abath. I am really excited to see what this might bring.
On a different note, I realized that I never told you about my new job. I am a sales associate selling all-natural supplements. It is a great job and is working out really well. Hopefully, if I can get enough hours squeezed in and hit my sales goals I should be be able to make my second monthly tuition payment. However, it is really hard to juggle a job, school work and classes, but you got to do what you got to do. All of that aside I am still maintaining my 4.0 GPA and getting to know the library really well! HAHA!

I have read all of the comments thus far on the WMUR website about me, my blog, and the fact that it is making the news. I want to give a personal thank you to "mum2b" for the encouraging verse. I would also like to thank "JJImc". I plan to share updates on my grades and tuition bill. For now I don't have a report card for this semester yet because it is mid semester but I am currently pulling a 4.0. To the UNH students or past students- this blog, news special and article are not putting down UNH at all. I have the utmost respect for UNH and their academics. The biggest reason I did not attend UNH is because I missed the admissions deadline. This is due to the fact that I had plans to return to Gordon. When those plans changed, it was too late to get in to UNH. Furthermore, for my own personal learning style, I feel that small class sizes help me to connect better with the teachers and material. The biggest thing that people seem to be having a problem with is my current job situation. I really want to clarify this for everyone. I worked all summer, saving money for college. About a month before arriving to West Palm Beach, I began my application process for a myriad of jobs (all the while still working in NH). I received a job down here just under two weeks after my arrival. The reason it took so long is because Florida's hiring season starts in November due to their economic dependence on their winter tourist season. So I was unemployed for less than 2 weeks. Long story short, I have a job and I am making money. This money is all going toward my tuition due to the fact that I am solely responsible for my tuition bill. I want to thank all of you for your comments and support! Hope this answers some of your questions. Thank you!

I know that it has been a while since I have written anything. I do want to let you all know that school is going amazing! I have finals this week and I have been studying hard all week long. I will be writing frequently over my Christmas vacation, that way I can catch you up on my school year. I also want to bring everyone up to date on my finances for next semester, my grades, and of course how the news special ended up for me. Thank you all for your prayers and your support.
